In November of 2019, several soccer coaches of Haitian background living in the Atlanta area decided to meet to discuss how they can get together and assist the Haitian youth national soccer teams and how they can use their coaching knowledge to better educate the coaches in Haiti.
As a result of this meeting, we decided to form an official organization with the goal of going to Haiti to offer camps, clinics, tournaments, coaching education, provide opportunities for college scholarship, and connections with professional teams in the US and abroad. The first venture was scheduled for the spring of 2020 with an established youth league in Haiti called TAPIN which was created by Pedro Heriveaux, who is also a member of HASCA. Unfortunately, with the COVID19 pandemic and the insecurity issues in Haiti, the venture had to be canceled. However, HASCA continues to partner with other organizations both in Haiti and abroad to create programs to benefit young Haitian American soccer players. HASCA founding members like Ron Apollon and Guy Sauveur Valcourt continue to work with the Haitian Soccer Federation as well as other organizations like L’Athletique D'Haiti, GOALS Haiti, YDAF, to name a few, to create programs and ventures to enhance the quality of training and produce better trained athletes for the Haitian national teams.
